- What is TapBuy?
- TapBuy is a new way for people shopping on a mobile device to order, in seconds, with just a few taps. TapBuy is currently in beta; download the iPhone app and press “TapBuy” to get a beta invitation.
- How does ordering work?
TapBuy-enabled deals are marked with a star.
The first time you order, you’ll be prompted to enter your credit card and billing information. These are saved securely in your TapBuy account so you don’t have to enter them again—you’ll just enter your PIN.
To order, touch TapBuy and verify your PIN. Your order is confirmed almost instantly; there is no shopping cart and no checkout.
Your TapBuy order is forwarded to the merchant after you place it; but you have up to 30 minutes to add items or make changes. TapBuy groups items into orders whenever possible and chooses the cheapest available shipping, to save the most money possible.
After your order is sent to the merchant, it works just like any other online order. You’ll receive a confirmation email from the merchant and you can contact them directly for service and status information.
- What about coupon codes?
You don’t have to worry about them! We track coupon and discount codes, and apply the best ones to your order automatically.
If you think we may have overlooked a discount, you can add it yourself. After you TapBuy, go to the open orders screen and touch “Add Promo.”
- How is this different from buying on the Web?
TapBuy ordering is much more convenient than ordering online, especially from a mobile device.
Once placed, your TapBuy orders work just as if you had placed them on the merchant’s website yourself.
- Can I cancel my order?
After you TapBuy, you have up to 30 minutes to change your mind. Open the TapBuy tap and press “edit”.
After your order has been sent to the merchant, you will need to contact them directly to cancel or edit your order.
- I’m having a problem with my order.
- We’re sorry to hear that. If your order has already been sent to the merchant, contact them directly for assistance. (You’ll know when your order is sent—we send you email about this.) Otherwise, write us at help@tapbuy.net, and we’ll get back to you.
- How do I close my account?

- Is ordering with TapBuy safe?
Yes. TapBuy works only with merchants we trust, and we take a great deal of precaution to ensure your safety:
- Your credit card and billing information is stored and transmitted using bank-grade encryption.
- Your information is shared only when you order, and only with the merchants you buy from.
Since TapBuy requires your PIN to place an order or view your billing information, you’re protected even if your phone is lost or stolen—much safer than losing your physical wallet with cash, cards, and IDs.
- What about privacy? Who gets to see my information?
We take your privacy very seriously, and we don’t sell or share your information.
Merchants gain access only to the information they need to process your orders: your credit card, billing and shipping address, and the details of what you ordered.
